When I called the owner (with K.'s phone) to find out whether the car was still available, he had a so very strange accent – K. defined it 'a lazy Aussie accent' – that I couldn't get almost anything… pretty disappointing! 
Luckily K. was … I was also asked twice whether I were deaf or mute, since I let K. do all the talking because she is an English native speaker and I don't know anything about cars! … and, right after, I realized how weird my thoughts had been. Strange … …
