It just pulls and keeps pulling, at least up to about 60MPH. It doesn't get up to a certain point, start to fall flat on its face, then upshift and do it again like a gasoline powered car does. Weird. Not unpleasant, but very different. In “sport” mode it's more responsive to the throttle than in normal mode; in normal mode there is a bit of a lag in the car's response to the throttle, similar to some of the first drive-by-wire gasoline powered cars I drove.
